IN THE CLASSROOM WITH PRE-PRIMARY 2 – MRS GRAINGER-WILLIAMS

This semester in Pre-Primary 2 our HASS, Science and Design and Technologies inquiry focused on what things are made of and how things move. We were fascinated by the human body and decided to explore what the body is made of and how it moves. We broke off into research groups to look at images and diagrams, to watch YouTube clips, to read non-fiction text and to google search to try and figure out the answers to our questions. Our first big questions were “what are teeth made of?” and the inquiry flourished from there. Children created eyeballs, spinal cords, recycled skeletons, gastric juice slime, clay model organs and much more. The children have learned so many interesting facts as well as lifelong learning skills.
