WORKPLACE LEARNING – Jack Parkin

Jack’s no slouch when it comes to computers

Year 12 student Jack Parkin is no slouch when it comes to computers.   In Year 11, Jack enrolled in the WACE subject Workplace Learning and “got his hands dirty” in computer assembly and repair in a local computer business.   An opportunity came up and in Semester Two last year and Jack enrolled in a Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (Cyber Security) – a one-year program that Jack has now nearly finished.

To complement his academic and vocational studies, Jack is to participate in a voyage on Training Ship Leeuwin from Monkey Mia to Geraldton during the period 2-10 June.   Godspeed and a safe return, Jack.
