Year 11 student Conan John took the brave step of participating in The Great Shave at our Senior Assembly on Thursday, 12th March. After growing his hair long for more than two years, Conan had his head shaved in front of the Assembly, with the footage being live-streamed to the rest of the Secondary cohort. Students supported Conan by making a gold coin donation and coming to school in a free dress, raising more than $400 for leukaemia research.
Sacrificing his hair to raise money for cancer research was a demonstration of the values we are aiming to instil in our students. His grit (in terms of not worrying about his appearance) and love for others were on full display.
