SCBC Year 4 students had a wonderful time on their excursion to Fremantle last week. Our first session was learning about the physical features, lifecycles, and habitats of several marine creatures including sharks, starfish and sea cucumbers. The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to touch and see these beautiful animals up close.

We then proceeded on to a beachcombing activity at the Fremantle beach. The students learned about the damaging consequences of littering and discussed the importance of keeping our beaches clean for ourselves, our wildlife, and future generations. There was even enough time to build a few sandcastles before heading off to a delicious lunch at Cicerello’s.
