Across the academic year the Primary School recognises Pre-Primary to Year 6 students at Term Assemblies in a variety of ways. This includes acknowledgement of students’ sporting achievements, musical performances and involvement in external interests and pursuits. Today we held our annual Academic Awards Assembly, celebrating the effort, learning and outstanding academic achievement of students in Years 4 to 6.
Over 70 students received awards for the literacy, numeracy, science, citizenship and leadership achievements across 2021. The assembly was attended by several dignitaries including Mr Reece Whitby the MLA for Baldivis, City of Rockingham Counsellor Mark Jones, Mr Dave Stevens CEO of CSAWA, and Dr Jae West from Scitech. These special guests presented some of our awards at this morning’s assembly. Mr Mitchell, the College Principal, spoke to those in attendance one of our College values of ‘Hope’.
Primary School staff should also be acknowledged for the work that they do fostering and developing these students skills across their eight years of primary schooling. The musical performances were also a highlight of the day including a song, ‘Good Job’, that the Year 4’s sang for the Primary teachers.
Our College is a thriving Christian Community that inspires our learning as a means for transforming and empowering student lives.
