YEAR 12

Halfway!

At the start of Week 6, Term 2, the Year 12’s are exactly half way through their official school year. They have just completed the mid-year exams or EST’s and will be receiving feedback from their teachers to help guide them on the remainder of their journey here at SCBC. It is important that students take this feedback on and make changes to their studies in reflection of this advice. Many will only get one more chance to sit exams or EST’s, so let’s make it count!

2 Proverbs 4:25-26 'Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.'

We would encourage all Year 12 students to keep their eyes firmly on the road ahead of them – it’s easy to get discouraged and start looking elsewhere, however with students being so close to the end of their time with us, we encourage them to keep pushing and keep their eyes on their goals. I am proud of the hard work that many of the students have put in so far and encourage each and every one of the Year 12’s to continue their hard work. Refuse to be distracted from what you want to achieve and stay true to person that you are!

With the weeks starting to count down, it is important to embrace the opportunities presented and soak up the final moments as part of the cohort, Leavers 2022. It was fantastic to see students enjoying themselves at our recent Cross Country and House Day. High school is full of little moments, opportunities that won’t come around again once Year 12 is over. I encourage all of our students, but especially our Year 12’s, to make of the most of their days at the college by showing up and leaning in.
