Our Year 2 students spent a wonderfully wet day out at Peel’s Ranger Red Zoo on Friday, 20th May 2022. At a year level we have been studying living things in Term 2; in particular how they grow and change and their life cycles.
This excursion gave students a hands-on experience with touching and petting animals such as kangaroos, birds and more. Students were exposed to a wide variety of animals they have never encountered before. We spent the day observing the animals’ behaviour and different habitats. Some of the students’ favourite animals were the Dingo and the Tasmanian Devils. A highlight of the day was a reptile talk where we all had the opportunity to hold a python snake!
Thanks to our parent helpers for helping make the day so special!
