YEAR 10 COMPUTER SCIENCE VIDEO GAME ADAPTATION

In year 10 Computer Science students had to adapt a game to make it more engaging and interesting, but with a twist.

The concept was to incorporate real world movement to control the game.  We used a projector on a wall and the students threw balls at the game to control it.  Students demonstrated their creativity and logic to come up with fun games to play.  In one version students had to crack eggs to make an omelette. In another adaptation students had to hit dragons before they attacked a castle.

Students incorporated graphics and sound to maximise the engagement.  As you can see by the video, they didn’t always get to make an omelette.
