Our Year 3 students attended WASO’s Nature’s Symphony Concert at the Perth Concert Hall.
They have been learning about the instruments of the Symphony Orchestra in their music lessons with Mrs. Peck. It was therefore such an awesome experience for them to see and hear these instruments being performed live. It was an interactive concert where students joined the symphony orchestra with body percussion and vocals. Students saw firsthand how all the different instruments with their unique sounds came together to create one masterful performance. They heard music from Swan Lake and the movement called “Spring” from Vivaldi’s Four seasons. They sang the Noongar song “Wanjoo” together as an audience and heard music from two Australian composers, Ross Edwards and Victor Arul.
Our students were captivated by the awe-inspiring performances from start to finish.
