Term 4 in Pikanini 2 has been adventurous and fun, as our little friends have discovered, played, grown, and developed in many areas over the past few months.

We have been spending lots of time in the vegetable garden, watering the plants and watching our seeds grow. This Term has brought with it the wonderful season of spring, and we have enjoyed the warmer weather and being able to spend more time outdoors.

As we start winding down for the end of the year, we have also entered one of the most wonderful times on the calendar…Christmas. We have been busy making various Christmas crafts and learning Christmas songs as we focus on the birth of our precious saviour, who came to this world as a sweet little baby, to save us from our sins and give us the gift of new life in Him. We have introduced Nativity scenes to our room for the children to experience and role-play hands-on, helping them realise that Christmas is not just about Santa and presents, but that it’s about the best present that was sent to the earth.

We have also celebrated our Children’s Christmas Party, which is one of the most exciting days on the childcare calendar, featuring food, song items, gift giving, craft activities, face painting, farm animals, ice cream, and much more.

It’s been an amazing term in the Pikanini 2 room, and we are in awe of God’s goodness and grace throughout this year as we have watched these little ones grow and thrive as they prepare to move on to Pre-Kindy next year.
