YEAR 11 ROTTNEST CAMP

Our end-of-year camp to Rottnest Island with our Year 11s was such a highlight—beautiful beaches, great weather, chippies, pies, plenty of laughs, and so many memories made as a year group.

Students loved the snorkelling and exploring the island, and we had a big crew of keen anglers who were out every extra chance they got. There were also plenty of quokka selfies taken (of course!) and even a few students rediscovering how to ride a bike again, which was great to see. We loved watching Zootopia at the retro movie theatre, with some being frightened by quokkas underfoot mid-movie.

It was a joy to spend time together away from normal classes and celebrate the efforts of the year that has been. Students had some reflection time on what their next steps are and considered, in faith, the call to “go forward”—just as the Lord commanded in Exodus 14:15 when He told Moses and the Israelites to move ahead through the Red Sea. This was a powerful reminder that as they step into Year 12, it’s about moving forward with courage and trust in God’s plan.

I’m so proud of these students, the way they embraced the experience and supported each other along the way.  A huge thank you to all the staff who came along—you made this camp possible, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
