Twelfth Night Production

Working on Twelfth Night with our Senior School students was an absolute joy. This play asked a great deal of its cast—quick wit, emotional honesty, and strong ensemble work—and the students embraced the challenge with energy, generosity, and a wonderful sense of fun. Watching them grow in confidence and collaboration throughout rehearsals was one of the most rewarding parts of the process.

Our production was originally shaped for the Amphitheatre, a space that invites freedom, movement, and a close relationship with the audience. However, due to a late change in weather, we pivoted to the Multi Purpose Gym.

While unexpected, this shift created a different but equally special atmosphere. The indoor setting brought everyone closer together, fostering a strong sense of community and shared experience. Audience and performers alike adapted with enthusiasm, and the space was filled with warmth, laughter, and a real feeling of collective support.

Design-wise, Twelfth Night was reimagined as a modern, coastal Australian town—a place of sun, sea breezes, and holiday energy—where romance and chaos felt just one step apart. This setting highlighted the play’s themes of identity, longing, and celebration, while keeping the story accessible and playful for a contemporary audience.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, embraced the change of venue, and supported these talented young performers. The sense of community and goodwill in the room was a testament to the spirit of live theatre, no matter the setting. We hope the production brought laughter, warmth, and a memorable end to the term.
