Ethical Hacking has had another successful year, with students taking part in a range of challenging competitions.

We hosted our internal CyberGlitch CTF at Murdoch University this year, bringing together 149 Year 7–10 students from six schools. While our teams did not win, they performed strongly and gained valuable experience competing against other schools. The event received excellent feedback, and we will be returning to Murdoch University next year, making it bigger and better.

Our older students also achieved outstanding results at ECU’s national PECAN+ event. Our Year 10 girls’ team completed more challenges than in previous years, while our Year 12 team won the overall Advanced category. Their dedication and commitment have really paid off.

Later in 2026, we aim to enter one final international CTF, giving students the opportunity to test their skills against teams from around the world and experience the challenge of international competition.

Registrations for the 2027 Ethical Hacking program will open at the beginning of next year. We look forward to welcoming new and returning students and building on this year’s successes.
