At South Coast Baptist College, students can choose Games Technology as part of their Digital Technologies studies. Each year, our students take on the STEM Games Challenge, developing a Game Design Document before working in teams to bring their ideas to life.

Karate Fish is a Year 8 game created around this year’s OCEAN theme, and it was recently featured at Pixel Expo 2026, held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 15–16 August. Set up for visitors to play, Karate Fish was enjoyed by attendees among thousands of gaming enthusiasts, indie developers, and industry professionals from across the state and beyond.

It’s a fantastic achievement for the team to see their work showcased outside the classroom to a wider gaming audience.
