The Primary Schools Boys Football Academy recently showcased outstanding success at the School Sport Western Australia Open Regional and State Championships, leaving a lasting impression both on and off the pitch.

The Year 5 and Year 6 football teams represented the school with distinction at the regional championship, showcasing excellent skill, teamwork, and determination throughout. Both teams played outstanding football, demonstrating great passion and commitment in every match. Equally impressive was the sportsmanship displayed by the players, who showed respect for opponents, officials, and teammates. The Year 6 team capped off a fantastic championship by winning the regional final in a thrilling performance, earning the title of regional champions and securing their place at the state finals.

The Year 6 football team delivered a superb performance at the state finals, demonstrating the true value of teamwork. Every player contributed to the team’s success, working tirelessly for one another and displaying excellent communication, determination, and skill. Their commitment to playing team was evident in every match, as they combined a strong defensive organisation with creative attacking play. In the grand final, the team produced their best performance, securing a deserved victory to be crowned state champions.

Individual highlights of both the regional and state championships were the achievements of Fateh who was recognised as the Most Valuable Player of the regional Championship as well as Lincoln and Daniel who were voted Most Valuable Players of the State Championship. This award reflected their exceptional skill and consistent performance throughout the regional competition and is a credit to their dedication and commitment during Football Academy training.
