During Week 2 of this term, South Coast Baptist College had 4 teams compete in the WACCSA Interschool Basketball Carnival at Bendat Stadium in Floreat. We had a Year 5 boy and girl team, and a Year 6 boy and girl team participate. Some hard fought basketball was played throughout the day, with all 4 teams making the finals.

The Year 5 girls lost in a close grand final; ending up 2^nd overall. Our Year 5 boys team also finished 2^nd in their competition, only losing 1 game for the day. We had a 4^th place finish with our Year 6 girl’s, and the Year 6 boy’s team finished 3^rd, after winning in their 3^rd v 4^th final.

Overall the carnival was a huge success, and each team played some great basketball on the day and represented our College very well. I was very proud of all of the students who participated, and they way that the conducted themselves. Thank you to all our parents and families who attended, and coached and umpired on the day.
