YEAR 10

The Year 10’s are quickly approaching the end of their middle school life!

This Term has flown by with students busy finishing off the last of their in-class assessments and preparing for the Semester 2 exams which commence in Week 7. Students will have an assessment free period next week to give them some time to prepare in class.

We have had some fantastic news across our year group of students gaining entries into pre-apprenticeship and TAFE courses. An exciting year lies ahead for our students as they move into a different season. With this new season may come new challenges such as workload and expectations. To prepare them for this we have a Transition Day next week Friday. This event will run from Period 1-3 and will involve a guest speaker from Armed4Life, a panel discussion from members of our College staff on what students can expect in Year 11, reflection/goal setting activities and to top it off pancakes and a sausage sizzle. We hope that this event will decrease the jump between the years and ease our students into their last two years.

Thank you to all of the amazing Year 10’s for a great year. We are looking forward to continuing the journey with this great cohort.

I also want to wish everyone a very safe Christmas break. It’s a time of family, friends and long summer days. It’s also a time where we are grateful for the gift of Jesus. May this holiday be filled with joy, peace and love.

'For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace' - Isaiah 9:6
