Our Year 4 and Year 6 Maths Extension students are currently right in the thick of an exciting challenge! Over a three-week period, these bright young minds are competing in the prestigious online MAWA (Mathematical Association of Western Australia) Maths Competition. 

Working in dynamic teams of three or four, students are racing against the clock to solve complex problems. The competition is a thrilling balancing act that requires teams to find the perfect sweet spot between absolute accuracy and rapid speed. 

Beyond the numbers, this challenge is a fantastic way to foster critical problem-solving and collaboration. Students are learning that the best way to tackle a tough mathematical puzzle is by putting their heads together, sharing strategies, and working as a cohesive unit. 

We are incredibly proud of the focus, grit, and team spirit our Year 4 and Year 6 extension students are demonstrating. Wish them the best of luck as they head into the final stretch of the competition!
