Last Friday a group of Year Seven students enjoyed participating in a 20 km long distance ride along the Waikiki/Shoalwater foreshore. The ride was part of their elective studies in Outdoor Education involving cycling. The course covers concepts such as team work, goal setting, road safety, general cycling skills and knowledge. It promotes cycling as a safe, sustainable, alternative physical activity.

The day was pleasant both weather and scenery wise and the students enjoyed it immensely. A huge thanks to past student Celeste Ching who came along to assist with the excursion.  Celeste graduated from SCBC in 2018 and is currently enjoying studying Chemical Engineering at CURTIN University.
