Across the Academic Year, the Primary School recognises Year 1 to 6 students at weekly assemblies in a variety of ways. This has included acknowledgement of students’ sporting achievements, musical performances and involvement in external interests and pursuits. On Friday we held our annual academic awards assembly, celebrating the effort, learning and outstanding achievement of students in Years 4 to 6.
Over seventy students received awards for the literacy, numeracy, science, citizenship and leadership achievements in these middle and upper primary year groups. The assembly was attended by several dignitaries including Ms Madeline King, MP, Member for Brand, Mr Reece Whitby the MLA for Baldivis, Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels, Mrs Megan O’Sullivan from Sci-Tech and members of the College Board. Many of our special guests assisted with presentations of awards at the assembly. Primary School staff should also be acknowledged for the work that they do foster and developing these students’ skills across their eight years of primary schooling. Our College is a thriving Christian Community that inspires our learning as a means for transforming and empowering student lives. We trust that the many families and guests that attended the Year 4 to 6 Academic Assembly enjoyed the morning’s presentations.
