One of our Year 11 students, Luke Newman, has recently won the Shire of Jarahdale’s Youth Citizen Award for all his work he is doing as a volunteer firefighter and SES member. He started at the fire brigade as a cadet in February 2021 and continued with them until September 2021. When he turned 16 he became an operational firefighter. He now teaches other cadets as a leader.
