SECONDARY DRAMA TERM 3

Year 10 Drama Production: A Stellar Performance of Soul Trading

On the 31st of July, our talented Year 10 Drama Production students took to the stage to perform Soul Trading, a production that left the audience spellbound. But this wasn’t just any school play—this was a unique opportunity for our students to take full ownership of the creative process.

For several months, the Year 10 Drama Production students have been working tirelessly, not only on their acting skills but on every aspect of the production. They were in charge of all design elements, from set and costume design, to lighting, sound, and even the promotional material. Their dedication and hard work shone through in every detail, creating a truly immersive theatrical experience.

Under the guidance of their teacher, the students collaborated closely, learning the intricacies of production design and developing their leadership skills. This hands-on experience has not only honed their artistic abilities but also fostered a deep sense of responsibility and teamwork.

The performance itself was a resounding success. The students’ portrayal of the complex characters in Soul Trading was both powerful and nuanced, drawing the audience into the world they had so carefully crafted. The set design was imaginative and reflective of the play’s themes, while the lighting and sound enhanced the mood and atmosphere perfectly.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 10 Drama students for their commitment, creativity, and professionalism. They have set a high standard for future productions and demonstrated what can be achieved when students are empowered to take the lead.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding production!
