“Impending Everyone” Year 12 General Drama Production

In term 2 our year 12 General Drama class performed our production of ‘Impending Everyone’ by Micheal Andrew Collins for an external audience’s entertainment. The story follows characters of a range of relatable high school students who try to prevent the release of every student’s data being exposed. I had the privilege of playing the character ‘Elia’, the mastermind behind the data release. Along with also taking the role of lead set designer.

For over a term, our class worked through scenes, planned out staging and collaboratively worked together to bring our vision of this play to life. Lots of hard work, rehearsals and dedication went into this performance to ensure the audience experiences the full impact. Not only did everyone have a role to play on stage, but everyone had a role to play behind the scenes too. Split into design teams, we all worked hand in hand. Lighting, costume, set and sound all purposely planned and created to build our performance.

Our final class performance together played out smoothly. The night was filled with laughter and memories made, and our performance was successful. Our hard work and talents had paid off and our vision of ‘Impending Everyone’ was brought to life. I am so proud and grateful for all my drama classmates, coming together to make our last performance a memorable one.
