SCULPTURE BY THE SEA

Visual Art students from Years 10, 11 and 12 visited the annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition at Cottesloe Beach on Friday.

scupltureThe exhibition, now in its 12th year, attracts many thousands of visitors each year. Sculptures from across the globe exhibit work created specifically for the exhibition, from traditional bronze sculptures, to recycled art and less traditional forms such as ephemeral work – made of materials such as steam and sand which wash away during the exhibition.

Students had the opportunity to also visit Japingka Aboriginal Art Gallery in Fremantle to view excellent examples of classic and contemporary art works.
